DO MORE THAN MEET PEOPLE

Loneliness is real—especially in Atlanta—and with nearly 30% of Black women living alone, this trend is only growing faster. And let’s not forget the fact that the pandemic intensified feelings of isolation among Black women. These numbers don’t even  include Black women who were not part of these formal studies and observations, dramatically increasing the likelihood that many more Black women are silently battling loneliness and isolation.

Free To Be Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established as a solution to the loneliness epidemic among Black women. But this isn’t just about feeling connected—it’s about tackling the deeper issues that lead to loneliness.
